Gyms and Training Locations

If I come to your gym do I have to pay a gym fee in addition to the trainers fee?

Millennium Bodies Fitness / Get Fit With Nick trainers are independent and do not work for a gym.  However, as of 1/12008 we are training people at Absolute Fitness in Lodi, NJ.  The  studio that we have chosen does not require a membership fee so long as you are training with a Millennium Bodies Fitness/Get Fit With Nick trainer.  At Absolute Fitness in Lodi, NJ, if you want to train on alternate days, you may opt for a daily fee or we recommend that you take advantage of the reduced rates offered to Millennium Bodies Fitness / Get Fit With Nick members.  As of 1/12008, that membership fee is $180 for a six month commitment or $50/month on a month to month basis.  Please note that prices and conditions are controlled by the studio owner, and may change without notice.

Do I have to come to a gym to train with you, and what are the gym fees?

Currently, none of the studios in which we train our clients charge an additional fee for use of the gym.  That fee is included in your hourly rate.  Please see the above question for more detail on this topic.

Where are your gyms located?

Millennium Bodies Fitness / Get Fit With Nick trainers will provide in-home training to residents of northern NJ and Manhattan.  At this time, Millennium Bodies Fitness / Get Fit With Nick trainers train clients only at Absolute Fitness located Lodi, New Jersey.

I already belong to a gym. Can you come to my gym to train me?

Yes, if your gym allows private personal trainers.  Ask your gym if they welcome independent trainers and, if so, how much they charge you for the trainer to come in.  Most gyms will charge you for this.  You are responsible for this fee.  Normally the large  franchise health clubs such as Bally's, New York Sports Clubs, NY Health & Racquet Club, Equinox, Parisi's, Gold's, World's, and Crunch do not allow private personal trainers; but it's worth asking.

Where do you travel to train people in their homes?

Millennium Bodies Fitness / Get Fit With Nick trainers will travel to your home in Northern New Jersey and Manhattan.

I want to workout at home, but I don't have any equipment.  How successful will I be?

The most important ingredients needed to change your body are desire, motivation, hard work and commitment.  If you have these, you will be successful no matter where you train.  Of course, it is always better to have access to quality cardio and resistance equipment, but depending upon your condition and goals, you could be successful training at home.  Millennium Bodies Fitness / Get Fit With Nick has available a range of excellent home equipment, including resistance bands, ankle weights, dumbbells, balls and other easily stored and relatively inexpensive, yet effective items as well as complete home gyms for sale. Follow this link to our Equipment Site to see our current offerings.

How do I know where to start my program?

You begin with a comprehensive evaluation and a customized routine.

  • Where do I start?

  • How do I know when I’m done?

These are two questions every trainee should be asking their trainer. Your road to success begins with an initial consultation. There is a saying, if you don't know where you're going, any road will take you there.  That won't happen with Get Fit With Nick.  We evaluate and compare your current shape with your goal. It’s as simple as that!  How else, will you know where to start, or when you’re done!  Your exercise program is built based on all the information gathered at your base line evaluation.  The plan is customized for you. It’s Personal Training that’s Personal!  All  Millennium Bodies Fitness / Get Fit With Nick programs are crafted in such a way to accommodate your work and home responsibilities.  It's Personal Training that’s Personal!

What kind of program will I be put on?

You will be put on a program that reflects your needs and goals, and your current condition.  In general, your program will consist of muscular strength and endurance exercises, aerobic conditioning exercises, and stretching and flexibility exercises.  It may require you to train anywhere from three to five times a week with me, and perform aerobics one or more days a week.  Sessions are just under an hour in length.  Early on in your program your sessions will necessarily be longer, because there will be more explanation and instruction in those sessions.  Each session consists of three parts, 1)  the warm up, the exercise, and the cool down and stretching.  Clients are encouraged to  warm up before their session begins.

The trainer is not obligated to make up time due to a client's tardiness. If a client is more than 1/2 hour late, it will be treated as a late cancellation and the trainer is not obligated to conduct the session.  Schedule permitting, a trainer may wait and work with you for your entire session or part of a session, but this is solely at the discretion of the trainer.  You are always charged for a full  session.  Your contract has a full explanation of this requirement.

Frequency and Duration of Training Sessions

How many days a week do I need to workout?

This question can only be answered effectively after you have talked with a trainer.  Training frequency depends upon your current conditions, your goals, schedule, budget and your trainers availability.  You may need to workout with a trainer four days a week, but only have the time or budget for two days a week. In these cases, the trainer will work to teach you a program that you can do on your own for the days that you cannot work with a trainer. This, of course, necessitates your willingness and ability to implement the program.

<Back to Top of Page>

I don't have the discipline to train on my own, but I want to make my fitness a long term commitment. How long will a trainer work with me?

Some trainer/client relationships extend over many years.  How long a period you work with a trainer depends upon many factors;  including your fitness requirements, the synergy between you and your trainer, availability, finances, and scheduling.

<Back to Top of Page>

I can workout on my own, but I need to learn what to do and how exercise correctly. Will you work with me on this basis?

A Millennium Bodies Fitness / Get Fit With Nick trainer will evaluate you, assess your needs, develop a diet plan if needed and work with you over a number of sessions to teach you fat loss and toning/building exercises necessary for you to achieve your goals.  Our goal is to make you as self sufficient in the gym as possible.   The number of sessions needed depends upon your fitness needs, how quickly you master the movements, your willingness and ability to take control of your fitness goals, and your budget.  You can always schedule an additional session or sessions later for a refresher or to upgrade your program.  Our Trainers will gladly take an occasional follow-up phone or email questions at no additional charge.

Achieving Results

I have done everything, but I still can't loose weight. Is there anything you can do for me?

Losing body fat effectively is the result of a combination of reducing the amount calories consumed, the type of calories consumed, and  environmental factors.  A sustained weight loss and change in body composition occurs only after a lifestyle change including proper nutrition of whole, natural foods, and sufficient physical activity.  When you are not achieving the results you want, and you think you are doing everything you must, one or more elements is usually missing.   Our trainers will work with you on an effective diet and fat-burning exercise program, we will discuss how long you need to sustain this program to reach your goal, and will work to the best of their ability to keep you on the program.

<Back to Top of Page>

I've have been working out on my own for a long time, but have stopped making any progress in muscle gain. Can you help me?

Most people who have been working out on their own for a long  time eventually hit a plateau and stop making gains in muscle mass.  Sometimes, genetics plays a role in this.  In most cases, however, a growth plateau is usually due to staleness in routine and diet and decreased motivation.  Without steady increases in muscle overload and varied routines, gains always slow and eventually stop.  Our trainers are skilled in getting you out of your rut.

<Back to Top of Page>

I do hundreds of sit-ups but still have no definition in my abs. How do I get a six-pack?

Abdominal definition is only partially accomplished through exercise.   The famous six pack is accomplished  by losing the fat that obscures the muscle more so than by building the muscle.  Losing the fat is done through diet and exercise, not endless abdominal routines.   With Millennium Fitness, you'll not only train better, you'll train smarter!

<Back to Top of Page>

When will I begin to see results?

Without knowing your present condition and training history, this is almost impossible to answer, because there are too many factors affecting the outcome.   You can expect to see results that reflect your starting point and your commitment to the program.  It is safe to say, however, that if you are extremely out of shape, that it didn't happen over night.  Likewise, you can't expect to make miraculous gains with only a minimum of participation.  Your gains will come slowly and steadily if you commit yourself to a consistent and rigorous program of physical activity.

<Back to Top of Page>

How can I guarantee results?

For people who do not have any underlying health/medical condition[s] which would otherwise prevent them from reaching a fitness goal, you can guarantee results by being committed to your goal and your program.  The following humorous tale describes what we at Get Fit With Nick mean by committed.  Please read what we think is a humorous story which we hope will drive home the point of commitment to your program and lifestyle change.

Commitment or Involvement:  Which is it?  The Story of the Ham and Egg Breakfast

It takes a chicken and a pig to make a ham and egg breakfast; the chicken supplies the eggs and the pig supplies the ham.  Each of these barn yard animals has a varying degree of participation in making the breakfast.  We hope it is clear by now that the pig is committed to this breakfast ; giving its life so that you could have your ham or sausage or bacon.  The chicken on the on the other hand is only involved, laying an egg or two, and then moving on.
We at Millennium Bodies Fitness / Get Fit With Nick will be committed to  your program, and  expect that you will be equally as committed to it.  If you, like the chicken in the story above, are just involved with  your program, and not committed to it, you will not be successful.  It's as simple as that.

Program Fees and Generation Costs

Millennium Bodies Fitness / Get Fit With Nick has a number of programs to suit all needs and budgets.  For those clients who train 2 sessions a week or less, there is a program generation fee.  For all packages, the program generation fee is included in the program cost.  Call for details.
